This month, I visited one of my favorite historical cities: Baltimore! I adore its architecture, seafood, and countless hidden gems. One of those gems is @hillenhomestead a Baltimore urban Flower Farm, I had the pleasure of learning about the owner Maya, and her incredible journey in creating a floral haven in the heart of the city.
🌸 Here are three amazing facts about this urban oasis:

1.Hillen Homestead is dedicated to growing sustainable cut flowers on two farm sites that were once vacant lots. Additionally using environmentally friendly practices no synthetic fertilizers/pesticides, and locally sourced compost. 🌿.

2. With over 80 varieties of flowers and foliage, this farm offers a stunning array of high quality blooms for local florists and the community 🌷🌼

3. Maya is deeply rooted in community , provides classes, gives bouquets to neighbors and shares seeds, compost, and plants with nearby gardeners. Truly fostering a sense of community heart of Baltimore. 🌟

This month, I visited one of my favorite historical cities: Baltimore! I adore its architecture, seafood, and countless hidden gems. One of those gems is @hillenhomestead a Baltimore urban Flower Farm, I had the pleasure of learning about the owner Maya, and her incredible journey in creating a floral haven in the heart of the city.
🌸 Here are three amazing facts about this urban oasis:

1.Hillen Homestead is dedicated to growing sustainable cut flowers on two farm sites that were once vacant lots. Additionally using environmentally friendly practices no synthetic fertilizers/pesticides, and locally sourced compost. 🌿.

2. With over 80 varieties of flowers and foliage, this farm offers a stunning array of high quality blooms for local florists and the community 🌷🌼

3. Maya is deeply rooted in community , provides classes, gives bouquets to neighbors and shares seeds, compost, and plants with nearby gardeners. Truly fostering a sense of community heart of Baltimore. 🌟
